Summary of the story:
The children used to play in giants garden.The garden has soft green grass,flower like stars and 12 peach trees that in spring time broke into blossoms of pink and pearl and in autumn bore rich fruits.
One day the giant came back after 7 years from his friend's home.Giant's friends name is Cornish Ogre.On coming to his home,he saw Children playing in the garden.He got angry on seeing that and built a huge wall around the garden with notice board "Trespassers will be prosecuted" Then spring came all over the country but in giant's garden it is only winter.Snow covered the grass with her great White cloak and frost painted all the tree silver.Then they invited north wind and hail.Every day the hail rattled the roof for three hours.Hail was dressed in grey and his breath was like ice.One morning giant heard some lovely music.He thought it was King's musicians passing by.It was a little linnet singing in the garden.It is because that the children crept in the garden through hole and were sitting in the branches of every tree.Finally the spring came to his garden.But in one corner it is still winter.There is a little boy that he cannot climb the tree.Climb up!little boy said the tree.The giant came downstairs and put the boy in the tree.That little boy kissed the giant.The giant understood that because of his selfishness only the spring did not visited his garden.He broke the wall with great axe.The people were going to market saw this scenes at 12'o clock.The children and giant became friends.But the little boy was missing.Giant wanted to meet the little boy.Years passed by.It was winter time but in one corner was spring with golden and silver fruits hung down from the tree.It was that little boy.When giant saw him close his face turns red with anger.There were prints of nails on his hands and little foot."Who hath dared to wound thee"said the giant and he wants to cut the person with big sword who did this to th little boy.The boy said it was the wound of love.You let me play in your garden once,now come with me to my garden which is a paradise.And when the children came to play in afternoon they found giant lying dead under the trees with white blossoms.
