Diversity of organism:
1."Origin of Species"was published by Charles Darwin.
2.Organisms differ in their character,Habit,Size,Structure&Habitat is known as Bio-Diversity.
3.Study of micro-organisms is called Microbiology.
4.Branch of science that deals with virus is called Virology.
5.Micro-organisms was discovered by Anton Van Leewen Hooke in 1675.
6.Electron microscope was inverted by Ernst Ruska&Max Knoll.
7.Branch of science that deals with bacteria is called Bacteriology.
8.HIV was discovered by Robert Gallo in 1984.
9.Most of the fungi&algae are Multicellular.
10.Unicellular plants&animals belongs to Protista kingdom.
11.Penicillin is extracted from the fungus Pencillin Notatum(Alexander Flemming).
12.Algae which can be viewed naked eye is called Macro-Algae.
13.Earthworm is called Friend of Farmers.

Our Environment:
1.Wastes are also called Effluents.
2.Solid waste are classified into Bio-Degradable,Non Bio-Degradable.
3.Burning of waste in incineration is called incinerator.
4.The process of degradation of organic waste into manure by the action of micro-organisms is Composition.
5.Vermicomposting is the method of composting by using Earthworms.
6.The manure obtained from vermicomposting is called Vermicompost.
7.Methods of disposal of waste are land filling,incineration,composition,reducing the usuage,reuse and recycle.

Chemistry in daily life:
1.Joseph Aspidin found the cement.
2.Cement has limestone,clay,Gypsum in definite proportion.
3.Plastics which expands on heating&hardens on cooling is called Thermoplastics(PVC,PET).
4.Plastics which do not change in shape on heating is called Thermo-setting plastics(Bakelite).
5.Backside of mirror is coated with chemical to prevent light to pass through it.
6.Glass is made up of Silica,Calcium carbonate,Sodium carbonate.
7.Gradual cooling of glass is called Annealing.
8.To make soap in home Sodium hydroxide is required.
9.If we cool the glass rapidly,it becomes brittle.
